Yes I contribute 10% . I think my tax form is like set to 1 I think as far as dependents. No matter how much I pay in... I either owe them or get like 1K back!Mike2633 Thanks this.
-
Mine looks like that too. $178 in deductions but $170 of it is my 401k contribution. The $813 in taxes is thanks to filing as single with no dependents and living somewhere with state income tax.

Someone asked about the fuel cost so I did some quick math.
Assuming you have a 30mpg vehicle and $3.50 gas, you'd be paying $105/week in gas. Versus $17.50 for someone with a 30 mile roundtrip commute. Difference of $4550/year in gas. Plus the extra 37,000 miles of wear and tear every year.
Sorry, I had to check.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
Add 5-10 oil changes and now you're looking at $5k easy
-
Yeah they're tearing you a new one also. Why we don't get none of that money back is so annoying
-
I was going to be on course to pay $10,000 a year in gas to work at ABF.
-
109 miles one way to work plus I have to run the Pa pike to get to Carlisle. I have a five day bid so that is 3 round trips a week.
Mike2633 and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -
Just remember the Major oil company's put record profits in the bank every quarter.
Their freight rates are some of the lowest ( below what it costs to operate a truck )in the industry.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
Is it just temporary or permanent?
