Food service guys have to deal with that dumb 2 seniority list BS?
-
When I was in LTL we had 2 seniority lists.......P&D and Linehaul.......granted, the linehaul fellas could have bid on the city spots, but they never did. And vice versa...MACK E-6 Thanks this.
-
I think every company does that except us.
We just had a city guy grab a good paying daytime linehaul run. It’s meet out in the mountains though, so he might be regretting that by next winter.
I might do that at some point, but I want one that goes to a terminal. -
My barn has a 2 way seniority list as well. Although some of us P&D guys have and do fill in occasional day time meet and turns.
-
No its just classified as a different job and there is a bunch of old guys on shuttle. We can't jump back and forth like we use to though you have to reapply and be hired to shuttle or visa versa.
-
As a P&D driver i would love to cover daytime runs, thats an easy dayCardfan89 Thanks this.

I've covered a few myself going west, it’s a nice 605 mile day for sure. Except when the winds cranking up, and your back Trailer becomes a sail boat. LolCardfan89 Thanks this.

Hold on with 2 hands and a foot. Used to run up against lake michigan with 30mph winds and empties miss those days it kept me woke ill tell you that

That "Dumb BS" is working in my favor now that they're shutting down our yard. City drivers are the only ones that have the option to follow the work. Office personnel, dockworkers and line drivers are just flat losing their jobs.Cardfan89 and road_runner Thank this.
