Unfortunately for me I have a Tuesday to Saturday run that's about 496 miles with 11am cut time. I work weekends anyways...

The new linehaul bids have been posted and are up for grabs. Management will start calling us on the 11th based on seniority for bid selection.
71 linehaul runs, 27 wild board, 8 team bids and 1 wild team, for a total of 116 drivers. I'm #96 of 116. Was hoping to be higher after 2 years at my barn but whatever.
I'm securely out of the running for a solo linehaul bid, so I'm aiming for a Tulsa or Parsons, KS team bid. Both pay between $138k-$145k. Failing that and if Oklahoma City is all that's left, I'm gonna snag the wild board team slot. Wild team still makes more than the OKC run, and offers a change of pace instead of driving the same section of I-40 every day.
Fingers crossed!!!Albertaflatbed, Speed_Drums, LtlAnonymous and 3 others Thank this. -

Busy in my area,,warehouse packed with freight and nobody to deliver..but as usual Canadian companies offer no incentives to hire experienced help…what they do hire are guys who book off every time it snows…really pathetic IMO but when you running all 2 lane dodging oncoming traffic gets old real fast

Our linehaul runs go from Fargo to Minneapolis and Devils Lake on the overnight, our day runs go out to Belfield to do a meet with a Billings driver.
only doubles to Minneapolis, triples the rest of the time. -

Check in from East Texas, freight levels here are steady but some days are heavier than others.
Overall most drivers are pushing about 11 to 12 hrs daily.MACK E-6 Thanks this. -

So how does the load board work at an ltl company for a new driver? Specifically r+l if possible. You're new so you just work when they need you? The recruiter said you are guaranteed pay every week even if you don't work but didn't specify how much and I forgot to ask. Are you only home for a 10 hour break? Or it's just different every single day as a floater, I think she called it.
And I did ask some of these questions I just want to ask you all with experience since I know recruiters sometimes like to tell you what will get you in the door. She seemed pretty up front and honest.
