Your young my guess. Isx had a series that ate fuel pumps sending ceramic through oil system. Couldn't keep cams in them, and blew head gasket. Some at 100k, some at 500k, and some went a million. Certain models were garbage compaired to N14, and BC.

I read about that myself.

Apparently that series of engines used ceramic plungers in the fuel pumps. That in addition to the oil connection means a time bomb, so people were swapping the ceramic ones out for steel. On the X-15’s, the fuel pump is now isolated from the oil system.

Some ISX engines also loved to blow the seals on the Holset turbochargers or have the EGR valves give up the ghost.
