I agree with Roadcall, the vast majority of companies strive to get the drivers home for Thanksgiving and Christmas... I have worked both in past years and while you will see trucks on the road its not many... Just about every truck stop is empty.... The majority of the trucks OTR on those two holidays are by choice... Although the companies strive to get everyone home you can bet they sure dont mind the drivers that want to stay out, they love them drivers. Speaking from my experience with working the holidays you will get a nice long load with plenty of miles if you chose to work...

Ok, thanks. I really hope he has at least those 2 major holidays off otherwise I was going to be kind of upset, lol.

Of course... They will give him the option which can be Intimidating, but for a single driver even with family if you are in Portland, Maine and they give you a load to San Diego, CA its very hard to say NO...Some will say No same will say sign me up, and it does work out where alot of guys can get a load going through the house with alot of miles... Depends on the company and driver... Im from chicago Im in Montreal,QC and they shoot me a load to Southern, California its hard to say no... You will have to talk with your hubby about that... I;m not married I'm ready for miles...Kmcallister87 Thanks this. -
