Your funny. I always believe you need to take care of your equipment so it will take care of you. Keep it clean and maintained.

I was sitting in a shippers office one time and a guy pulled up with a nasty lookin truck that hadn't had a bath in along time and this guy looks out the window and says this is the truck that is going to deliver my stuff to my customer. I said you never now what your going to get anynore and he was not very nice to the guy when he came in and asked him if he ever washed it and the idiots reply was " If I washed it things my fall off "

Some customers don't care but some still do.

 

unfortunatly it's been my experience that the DOT will pick out the nice shiney owner operator rig and let the nasty run down company trucks drive right on by.

Like with landstar, we have a pretty god safety rating so I NEVR get pulled into a scal if it has prepass. They would have had a field day with my 359 had I ever got inspected. It's not unsafe or anything but being 23 yo i'm sure there was allot of things they would have taken issue with

 

It don't matter on the age. They will find stuff wrong with a new truck if they want to.

 

come to pa you will get level 1's regularly by the state or the locals i'm good for 3-4 a year all hours of the day or night
