Looking for recommendations on a decent one that won’t break the bank. It isn’t for everyday use but I want it to work correctly.
I have never seen a cheap one, plus they only do the size they are built for. there are places that rent them. If I just need a few done, I just have the dealer do them.
For starters let me give up that the Red Pistol grip air/hydraulic Huck riveter is the slowest most unproductive piece of garbage out there. If someone gave me a brand new one I would throw it in the garbage. From hanging up to the worthlessly slow pull its as bad as it gets. I'd rather use a hand riveter. I have had good luck using this- SILVER EAGLE 1/4" HEAVY-DUTY RIVETER SE214 | Matco Tools Pulls monobolts fast and one right after the other. Keep the tool and tip lightly oiled and I have pulled hundreds of them without an issue in the same day. Plus it comes with extra pulling collets if they wear out. I suppose there are cheaper versions or other brands of this style riveter you could try. But I will vouch for this one. Am I on the right track of what your after?
Here's a nice one for $2600.00. Cherry Aerospace Tools G87D If you find one for less money I'm sure there's a reason it's cheaper
