How come drivers in this niche of trucking all seem to have Taj Mahal's on wheels and most of the rest of us have to suffer in a mobile closet?

Maybe they are smarter than the average trucker.

From the researching I have done when I was considering which way I wanted to go, most stay out months on end.

the other guys that use the trucks are the guys moving airplane parts. They have them because they sit 3 or 4 days at time waiting on the next pay day.

Could be wrong but this is what I have observed.

    brian991219 and Midnightrider909 Thank this.

Trucks Weight isn't as big a issue with them either.

Those trucks serve niche markets primarily. A number of the HHG large cars primarily haul convention and trade show equip. Where they unload and sit during the show. Regardless of what is hauled, it is a way to offset the extended down times with comforts and being completely self contained for eating, cleaning and relaxing.
