I don't know whats going to happen on Monday but this storm thats on its way here is supposed to be gigantic! Does anyone have any advice or stories on their driving experiences driving in bad weather. Not sure if there will be an emergency shut down of the roads yet. May have to leave on a run late Sunday night bound for PA.

How many of you guys are gonna be out east the next few days? I'm headed to Eden and it looks like I'll hit some rain but not as bad as my home state of Pa.

I'm stuck in New York at a Pilot. I'm going to stay here until it's time to deliver on Monday. If things get really baf, I'm sure Pilot is a better shelter than this truck lol.

I used to deliver to a lot of the big and small city water treatment plants, and for the most part they have someone in the control room twenty four seven. The trick is to find the phone number for the control room, usually the switchboard doesn't route the calls to the control room after hours. Go to the city government listings and look for anything water treatment, and when that fails, sometimes you can find a number to get through to the security people at the treatment locations, and here again, sometimes, you can explain your situation to them and they may connect you to the control room or give you the number. When all else fails you can go to the gate and the security people will help you get in contact with the control room. Since nine eleven security has been tightened up at the water treatment plants and rightfully so, so it may take some diligence to get them to help you much on the phone. Hang in there and good luck.

point the truck into the wind. It won't get buffeted so badly and you can actually still open the doors without getting blown out of the truck.

Try and park on the upwind side of of a building if you can find a parking place too.

Best case, find an inside garage or shop to park in.

I run down near NYC every night and I'm not concerned, it is what it is.
