I'm all for the Webasto heater / APU option. When I'm responsible for paying those expenses, I'll likely be installing those options. For now, I'm a company driver and I can't seem to get the truck owner to understand that he'll pay for the APU in 6 months with the fuel savings from idling. I carry the generator to cut down on some of the idle time.

Well, that does it for me then. I'll plan to leave Wilmington, NC once the Chesapeake bay bridge opens to trucks, provided that the roads are passable.

Broker still thinks I can make my 8am delivery on Monday. :|

You'd might be surprised at how many people:
1-think it snows year round here.
2-don't even know where Canada is.

    gdyupgal and Mommas_money_maker Thank this.

Canada is The most northern national park of them all.

It generally has two seasons, snow and pothole.

Past that, most of the people that live there, seem to can't have a conversation that ends something other than "eh"....

i am from New Castle DE originally although I now live in Middletown... grew up on the river... I have quite a few friend who are really nervous not to mention Parents in their 80's living near Lewis so I know what you mean about the flooding.

I'm sure the low areas round here that flood will flood like always. Most of that is off the main roads so I doubt you'll have any problems as long as there isn't a wind restriction.

It will be interesting to see what happens here. I was at Home Depot and the grocery store today and you would have thought that the world was coming to an end. Flooding will be the worst we end up with here. If it stays on track we will get double slammed by the tide. Being I live at the mouth of the bay tomorrow and Monday as it the northern part passes its gonna be shoving water from the ocean in the bay and our tidal rivers. Then once it goes by, the west/south western part of the storm will probably take all the water it shoved up the rest of the bay and shove it right back down in our face again.

Being as I don't leave to take my job at PGT until Nov 5th I think I might take my ex-boss up on his offer and get the keys to his personal tow truck and pull out some flooded cars :biggrin_255:. There is never a shortage of the "hey I think I should drive my car through this massive lake in the road" idiot around here. Time to break out the grudens and rain boots.
