I think the storm is being over played. It has 75 mph winds gusting to 90 and a cold front is moving across the east coast which will keep it from going inland as much. As soon as that cold air hits it will lose it's steam. If you look at the satellite it is mainly green which shows it's weak. The cold front blowing thru has stronger rains.
They show it making a drastic turn NNW which is only an educated guess. The current track now is northeast which is what I think it will stay on. If you look at the big world map there is a bigger storm off to the east sucking things in including that little itty bitty hurricane/soon to be tropical storm.
I think all you will see is some down trees and power outages. It will start getting rough about Monday afternoon. If you get stuck in it try to park on the northwest side of a building as a wind break or park behind other trucks. You don't want to be wide out in the open. Just to be on the safe side stock up on food and necessities. You always do that for winter anyways.
Stay off the lobster boats and you'll be fine!windsmith Thanks this. -
Bring extra water and food out with you. Call your shipper or delivery to make sure they will be open for business. Listen to the local news for the locality you will be traveling. Be very careful, and remember everything goes against the driver now.

maybe the gangs over at rikers will be washed away -
the barrier islands of the atlantic seaboard are nothing more then sand dunes pushed around by the oceans pleasures
man made jettys is the only reason the inlets like Barnegat light NJ , Ocean City MD, Hatteras NC are not 5 miles from where they were 50 years ago
even as newly back as the 1950's hardly anyone lived year round on these barrier islands because the weather makes it not prudent
now people think they have a right to be there defying mother nature
I will be starting my ark next week -
mamamullins, dirtyjerz and windsmith Thank this.
