Hunts Point NYC Directions

@‘Olhand is the man to know. I never been in the market proper: only as far as the MTA warehouse at the corner of Tiffany and Viele

 

Drove a decent amount in the boroughs and NYC tri-state area and never had to go there either thank god. That place is like trucking hell basically.

 

I've been around food center drive a whole bunch. Delivering to Krasdale, Baldor, Dairyland. The new way in and out is SO much easier. Traffic can be a little heavy depending on when you're going and coming, but it's preferable as opposed to making your way over to Tiffany Street and Bruckner Boulevard

 

Post a pic @DubbleDelta. Remind some of us why we don't go there, and that you guys out there are the real adventurous drivers

 

It really isn't that bad. Been there a few times but I haven't been there in 15 years so I stayed silent on this one. Been to Krasdale more than once, they aren't bad at all.

Just for the sake of clarity for people who have never been there and might be going I think it's useful to point out that 'Hunts Point' can refer to a couple of different things. There's the peninsula which is a whole region. Then there is the 'Hunts Point Produce Market', and 'Hunts Point Cooperative Market, both of which are in the region of 'Hunts Point'

 

Good info and just to be clear….The cooperative market is what most everyone refers to as the meat market
There’s also the seafood market on other side
