    Melinda, are you kidding,8cents? As big a stickler for accuracy as I am even I would let that go. You and your husband were in no way ready to operate a truck,if you cannot afford food why are you trying to buy a truck? That said you sound like a huge pain in the ###,everything is everybody else's fault. If your family is so broke and desperate go get a job. A class action? You really found a lawyer that would take that case? I bet he's a real winner,he'll be working for free just like your husband. Just for the record Hurricane always has been a POS company, probably always will be.

    I wouldn't lease a truck unless I'm being paid percentage and picking my own freight.
    Unless I trusted someplace that would find freight for me to lease onto that also pays percent and doesn't have company drivers.

    Bad flease deals in my opinion are those which pay mileage and you still have to deal with a dispatcher.

    AGAIN YET ANOTHER PERSON THAT JUDGES BEFORE THEY KNOW THEIR FACTS!!!!

    Yea!! They did leave us high and dry and yes it hut our bank account, but I can assure I planned for the worst and hoped for the best....I will be more than happy to send you my transcript from the #### college I attended if you don't believe I have an education.....No we didn't have any start up money put back when we started with company...but again...CHECK YOUR FACTS.....the company assured us that we didn't need this that all of the trucks were still under warranty and that we would have time to save up (Thank God I had Already Started saving or we would have been completely screwed). As far as my son and my medications....WE HAVE FAMILY...the care for us and they have helped us in more ways than one....AGAIN ASSUMING....We had everything set in place to cover the week he took off but the money and checks had yet to make it to us....And as for the lawyer...I could list a million different ways to get one of those but I do not seem to feel the need to share that with you if so dumb you can't figure it out...as for the compassion for her mother passing...up until I accidentally found it on her Facebook....all we were told was that she had left the day before and no one knew where she was....Send me your email address and will be glad to send you yet another email that I did not copy into this post of where we sent our condolences and said we were unaware of what had happened...However, what you need to see is these questions that we were needing answered had been being asked some since orientation......Again yet another email I have saved!!! Would you like a copy of that as well.

    AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST....No right now I don't work!!! I prefer to care for my child and not put him into daycare's also don't really care are just there for the all mighty dollar!!!

    You obviously, didn't read the entire post....I CLEARLY put this was not the whole story...I had tons of more emails that could have been posted here and if you would like a copy of each and every one of them....AGAIN...send me your email address and I will fill your inbox full.

    Medications - Yes I am diabetic and I went without them for a few days because we didn't want to go to others to receive help....we still thought this company would stand by their word....As of yesterday...I went and got my medicine and my husband has another job already!!!

    Did one of their employee's pay you to judge me before asking any questions....I have nothing to hide...I put my full name out there with an email address that you could have asked me anything you wanted but you choose to sit back and judge someone without knowing all the facts!!!

    NEVER JUDGE SOMEONE YOU DON'T KNOW!!!

    No, and again if you would have read the entire message I posted...if it had only been the .08 difference...I would have let it go.....but that is where the ######## began.....and never stopped!!!

    And yes we were prepared...even had long discussion's on how it would affect our child with him having to be out for 4 weeks at a time but we decided that 3.3 years to own a truck was not a bad deal!!!! So we went with it.

    And again....DO NOT JUDGE before you know your facts...this is barely a scraping of what all we have went through with this company and as I told the other person...send me your email and I will be glad to share every email I have and their are TONS!!!

    And as for Hurricane always being a POS company....at first they were not...that is the sad part...everything was clear and understandable until he needed this time off to deal with a family emergency...if the company would have stood behind their word and put that check into the bank on Friday, he would already be back in their truck running their loads......And as for the lawyer....It is called small claims court....check it out!! I may not win, but I won't go down without a fight!!

    And as I told the other person...my email is in this post...send me yours and I will be glad to fill your inbox full of everything I have and more ..... As for the job for me....You can judge me all you want...but choose to care for our son instead of throwing him into a POS daycare center and forgetting about him.....EXCUSE ME FOR LOVING MY CHILD!!!

    The big payoff payment was a whole $600....it's in the contract...would you like a picture of it....Again...send me your email and I will be glad to send you a picture of it!!!

    There not brand new Pete's as advertised....2013....still new enough for us. They do offer you a new truck and had already offered one to my husband and were tossing around the idea until everything started falling apart.

    To address yet more stupidity!!

    1. No Money - addressed this with the company before we went there....We were told we would have plenty of time to save up for anything that would cost us money because the trucks were still covered by Peterbuilt!!

    2. Where was my child - IT's called Grandparents and supportive family members....EVER HEARD OF THOSE KIND OF PEOPLE???

    3. I don't work so I don't have to throw my child into a POS daycare system and leave him to fend for himself!!! EXCUSE ME FOR LOVING MY CHILD!!! Would you also like a picture of my transcript...When my son starts school, I intend on going back to work, but why is your business what I do.

    4. The sad part was...when all of this started back in the end of April...they company was up front, honest, and very clear....I even brought up the lawsuit they were involved in back in 2008 or 2009 on the workers comp coverage for the drivers. They opening admitted that was their company and it was a true lawsuit.....Our stupidity was believing the drivers that the person that sucked us into gave us to talk to, but again, while my husband was working out details to move to this company he ran across one and randomly asked him how he felt and he also gave them a good review. Until this emergency came up....the company was standing behind everything they said they would do.....slowly, but they were.

    Stupid choice or not....we did as much research about several companies that we could get....and let's be honest here...there isn't a lease/purchase program out there that not going to screw you one way or another....you just got to go with the one that will at least use lube!!!

    But onto bigger and better things!! You want any supporting documentation to any of this....Again as I have told everyone and put in the original post....send me your email and I will be glad to share every last email between us....from before the start until the very last one....I have nothing to hide!!

    And yet more stupidity!!

    My child is fine and will be just fine...we had prepared ourselves for the time he took off but had not put a rush on it because we were told he would get that check .... They left us out to dry for a few days...Money is now in the bank and yes we made #### sure our child would have back up if we ran into any problems...again yet more emails I have sitting here that I would be more than glad to share with you...personal emails from family members asking for support if we needed it....guess what...they came through unlike this company...

    As for the truck...they advertise all these nice new Pete's but that is not what you get...he got a 2013...new enough for us and we didn't have to pay as long on it to get paid off and make it ours.....

    And again...we did our research...and let's be honest every lease/purchase place out there is going to screw you one way or another...we just went with the one we thought would use lube!!! My husband even asked a few random drivers how they felt about the company before we went.

    Again....no one seemed to notice...I put my email address out there...you could have asked anything you would have liked...I don't mind sending you every supporting email I have....but it kinda sounds like to me with all of these people bashing me and wanting to know about my child, that this company not only does not use lube but has paid people sitting back trying to do damage control to sucker more drivers into their doors.

    I understand that until a company gets to know the driver that they are unsympathetic...that's why if you will read this post...he originally thought he would just have to quit to go home and handle the situation at hand....they company is the one that offered the leave of absence....And again...we had back up plans...those don't come through over night...and until we went to start back to the hotel to be there Monday morning...we had not even checked our account to see if the money had went into it....we had money put back....paid our bills and stuff of that nature and discussed this endevor with all supporting family members before we made the move....were we ready to do this...yes ...did we have 10 grand sitting in a bank account before we started...NO...but again we addressed this with the company and they told us it would be ok because the truck was still covered by Peterbuilt....we did have mechanical problems during this time and the truck was fixed at no cost to us ever...I will give them that....that was the truth.....

    And if they were glad to see him leave...why were they still asking him to come back even after the final settlement had been sent out???? Again...just like I stated in the original post....up until we had this emergency the company was doing good by us.....but if they were going to do him this way, why did they not just let him quit...I was on the phone with him as he was cleaning out his truck...they came to him with the offer...not the other way around!!!

    And the reason I have not included my husband in this post is because I don't need them bashing him anymore than what they have already started to do.....I don't have anything to lose by doing this...they can put whatever they like on his DAC and that is why you will not find his name on any of this...but if you would like to speak to him personally...send me your phone number and I am sure he would be more than happy to talk to you....

    I think the point every single person here is missing is I put it out there....my email address...My name.....all of my information to allow people to contact me and allow me to prove to them that this entire story 100% true...Still not emails...just bashing....I am beginning to wonder if all you are not the hidden damage control people for this company!!!

    I truly don't think it was the bonus....considering my husband didn't even bother to get his name...he never got a bonus....he seemed legit.....it is most like just due to him being so new to the company and them not caring....he actually went into the office and quit....they are the ones that offered this leave of absence while he was cleaning his truck out...I heard them...He was talking to me on the phone when it happened because we were making arrangements to get him picked up and our back up plans in place.....when the offer was made we told our back up plans that we were going to ok and we didn't need the help after all.....
