They had left as of 2pm on Monday ..the 1st time he tried to pick up the load, I don't think they would have come back at 9am at the height of the storm

My post was sarcastic bud, im with you on this. People saying theyll drive through tornados, etc to deliver some goods for people who dont care about them one bit is absolutely insane.

My general statement comment meant that it isnt just applying to TS Issac. I meant it applies to all hurricanes, tornados, natural disasters.

Con-way sent a message to all drivers to drive within their comfort level. Also, that I f they ever felt unsafe to shut down. The company is incredible about allowing drivers to shut down in dangerous situations. I think your friend left that part out. We all got the same message.

Green not that long ago Conway gave me a load. Told em I got hours to pick up but I can't make it anywhere to park.. what they say log it off duty to park somewhere. Called logs in mornin just to be told that's double ticket they should not have told me to pick up. My point they don't really care that much. They get paid by hour not loads or mile.

Or you got a dispatcher who doesn't understand logs. But you should know you cannot drive off duty under a load. But that does not mean they do not care about your safety.
