    Well, there goes a nice shortcut! Commercial traffic is being advised to avoid highway 212 between Broadus and Crow agency. Shortly after millions of dollars were spent to improve a highway that will now carry only minimal traffic. Humorous in that for once, the natives may be going to get one over on the government!

    Well I for one will miss the views of fine rez living .
    Minimum of 10 junk cars in each yard with a few starving horses , plywood windows and of course the nightly demo derby evidenced by the wrecked cars in the ditches .
    I refuse to run 212 from belle fourche sd to Hardin mt after dark .

    Having lived in north Dakota , Nebraska and Montana I dont have a lot of sympathy for the way SOME native Americans live .
    To blame truck drivers for the problems on 212 is ludicrous...they should get a mirror !

    They were apparently throwing rocks at some point today. I won't take a load of cars across if that continues. Just not worth the risk.

    Yeah the confrontation isnt worth it .
    They'll settle into a slumber later in the day on the 1st after they have cashed they're checks .
    Stay out of Hardin and wal mart in billings on the 1st too.

    What I noticed that was not posted is the curfew that has been placed on the Rez from 8pm until 6am. The curfew apples to everyone on the Rez......resident and non-resident alike.
