Yes, notify them. You won't likely get fired but you will get fired they find out about it before you tell them about it.

There are posters in here telling me to say absolutely nothing to the company until the matter is set in stone and now there are posters telling me to tell the company right away.....

    Sigh....

I think they have a point. What you are accused of is/can be vasty different that what you are convicted of.

As a maga carrier driver, thec company would help me with the issue as it was in thier interest to do so. I suppose it depends on who you work for.

Dont say anything util you find out what you're guilty of. At this point, you arent guilty of anything. You're just asking for trouble if you tell them at this point.
I haven't researched it since reading this thread but my understanding is, you need to report any thing your found guilty of within 30 days of the conviction. If you aint done anything, what the heck are you reporting? No one says you have to report a accusation & that's all this is at this point. The officer hasn't said your guilty of anything. You gotta wait for the court to decide that. You only have to report what you are found guilty of. But once you are found guilty, you have to report that to your company within 30 days of the conviction.

That’s based on my own experience in WY. Failure to maintain lane was $275 and driving too fast for conditions was $50. I’ve never had a license in a state that has a point system so all I was concerned about was the money.

It's 30 days from final conviction, NOT from the initial accusation.

    Gotta love the internet.

Next post those same people telling you to tell the company will tell you to not to, or tell you honesty isn't the best policy.( You should go view that thread...)

Gotta love the internet. Fickle as the weather.

Don't worry the next post will also include all the people claiming your were speeding an had ####ty tires will say that's just silly and can't understand why you got cited.

    Once again...say it with me...

    Gotta love the internet.

Opinions change like the wind, and sometimes more often.

Consult a magic 8 ball as the tie breaker on what to do. ;)

    Good luck.
