Will not be lasting 20 years, unless you are good with a range of 1 mile.

Ok, so again.....what is the ACTUAL long term viability of EV? They are going to have to be heavily subsidized forever. Because they will be totally unaffordable in the long run. Here is another honest question. When you buy a Tesla, you get to charge it for free? Who pays for that.....electricity isn't free.?.

The odd part for me, is how he figures that he should tell us what to drive.
I'm a Ford woman, but I don't others they need to drive a Ford. I also don't use stats from across oceans, to make a vehicle brand sound great.
I've been to Norway a few times, sure don't see much for KW, Pete, Stars there, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't drive them here in Canada, or the US. During my travels I was also in areas where almost every truck was a Hino, but it doesn't mean that I should buy a Hino, or brag them up, because they are popular overseas. Some areas are almost entirely Volvo trucks, again, didn't make me rush out and buy a Volvo. Because I happen to drive a KW, also doesn't have me pushing them on people. All brands have issues, Tesla has a lot more than most brands.
Look up the reviews on them, they have been listed as a suggested do not buy vehicle more than once.

Tesla included in J.D. Power survey for the first time, and it’s bad

Our electric grid cannot power a bunch of EVs anyway. If we all bought a Tesla around here, we would have constant blackouts, and large electricity bills. I would still need to own a truck as well, to haul, tow, for snow days, whipping down logging roads, shopping for large items, such as our new fridge, that isn't going to fit in a tesla back seat, but fit in my F150 just fine.

Agreed. Plus, how does someone power the new grid? Windmills are a joke. They don't last very long. There are literally piles of old windmill parts around the west right now. we need reliable base load power and we don't get that with renewable sources. Not to mention we don't have the transmission lines to do it. California has rolling blackouts every summer because of the load of the a/c units. How's EV going to work there? I live in rural Idaho, my biggest concern would be range. The people who live in town thinks the world revolves around them because their whole life is lived within a few miles of their home. Now, some would argue that the bbb bill addresses these issues. My question is since when does the constitution provide for the federal govt to do so? It doesnt.

I take a week off each winter, tow a large trailer over 200 miles into the middle of nowhere, set up camp, and we snowmobile daily, sleep in the trailer, haul drums of gas, piles of food, 100 lb propane tanks, and a lot of gear. The trailer weighs about 9,000 lbs when i leave, and we drive up sketchy roads, in snow, and then have to make it back out. That tesla 3, Plaid, model S, whatever tesla model, isn't going to even move that load, much less if it could tow it, probably couldn't tow it 80 miles before the battery is dead.

Poisoning space and making deadly vehicles doesn't help humanity. He's one of the richest people on Earth. There are plenty of sick and starving people on this planet. With his finances, he could truly help them. He hasn't even bothered to lift a finger for his people in South Africa that are being genocided. Those were farmers that provided food for most of the southern continent. He's a turd.

So Walmart is where all the People Under The Stairs shop just like in the States. I find that interesting as well. I hear you about the 6 bucks. Most of the time I'll gladly spend more if it saves me headache and/or frustration.

I already answered those questions. I was a little conservative going from memory. Here is the data based on HUNDREDS of EV vehicles and battery longevity.

The FACTS show that battery degradation in at least Tesla vehicles is not a concern until at least half a million miles.

Tesla battery data shows path to over 500,000 miles on a single pack

“A group of Tesla owners on the Dutch-Belgium Tesla Forum are gathering data from 286 Tesla Model S owners across the world and frequently updating it in a public Google file.

The data clearly shows that for the first 50,000 miles (100,000 km), most Tesla battery packs will lose about 5% of their capacity, but after the 50,000-mile mark, the capacity levels off and it looks like it could be difficult to make a pack degrade by another 5%.

The trend line actually suggests that the average battery pack could go another 150,000 miles (200,000 miles total) before coming close to 90% capacity.”
