My house would not be able to be wired to charge it. Yes I have a 200 amp service, but the stove, dryer, and hot tub eat up a large amount of that, not to mention that some power goes to a sub panel in the shop. My well pump couldn't be run off the house power, and it takes much less than charging a car. My well has its own power pole, meter, and the power actually comes from another transformer down the road. When getting a hot tub, we had to replace the electric hot water tank, with a propane one, as we didn't have enough to install the hot tub otherwise.shooter19802003 Thanks this. -

I live 30 kms from a refinery, no reason for us to not have fuel in this region. I've pulled a lot of fuel from the local refinery, and our price is often a bit lower than cities around us also.shooter19802003 and AModelCat Thank this. -
A Leaf is in the stone age compared to other EVs, maybe they've got issues?
But a power bill tripling is absurd, my typical bill of $125-150 didn't go anywhere near $450 lol......
I did not lie about anything. -
And other things that are nice.
The car will always start lol
No oil changes.
The transmission will never fail lol.
The fluid that needs most attention is windshield washer. -

At an average of $9 a charge, charge up say 15 times a month, is $135 per month.
Their electric bill was on average $70/month before the car, was $220/month after buying their car. -
Also to be clear: I don't for a second think EVs are more "green" than regular cars. Not even on the list as to why I got one. It's just a crazy fun car all around.
shooter19802003 Thanks this.
