The warranty on the Tesla truck is 1,000,000 miles I believe. 500 miles range and something like 45 minute recharge. Plus 1,000HP

Just wait until electric vehicles start to gain traction. No more rebates, tax breaks, subsidies etc. Plus you know the government will put some type of tax on it to make up for a lack of a fuel tax.

That is in the build back better bill. Carbon tax that increases every year until 2030. Also a per mile driven tax....like Oregon, but more encompassing.

One constraint is the electrical grid in the nation can’t keep up now. even in 20 years say 300 trucks plugged in at one truck stop. The amount of electricity would be enormous. Can you see the fighting over a #### plug in.

Then where are we going to get all the precious minerals for batteries it’s extremely toxic to environment to mine.
don’t see main stream otr maybe regional or city. All the corrosive liquid on roads in winter. Yeah recipe for electrical nightmares

That is, until the battery catches fire while you're in the field and an entire oil well goes hypernova.

How much does it cost to maintain the fuel supply chain?

The money is there to develop the electrical grid to handle a fully electrified trucking industry. All that's missing is the will to do so. Texas' electrical problems last winter had more to do with corporations maximizing short term profit over long term capital investment.
