OOIDA might be able to put you onto someone.

OOida doesn't have a company that will write someone with less than 2 years of CDL possession.

Good luck with your search. Going through the same thing.

Progressive just quoted me 530 a month for non commercial liability,

Ooida will give you a list to call

I had one company quote off that list that offered me insurance but the broken English / Eastern European accent did give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

I'm in the process of finalizing insurance now for a new rig with new authority. It was difficult to find even with 3 years driving experience, so I don't know who to suggest with no driving experience. I assume since you don't have insurance yet that your authority isn't active because you need insurance in place for that. You might want to consider leasing on with a company for a year or two before going with your own authority. Otherwise, if you do manage to find an insurance company that will cover you, it will cost more than you can afford. We're talking like $50,000 a year.

Their home office is in London, but they are everywhere. Largest insurer in the world.
