    That isn’t too far out of line. With our coverage, all perils, unowned trailers and cargo with $10m liability we’re right around $1300/mo per truck for Canada only. US coverage would be almost 50% more.

    I think some of it depends which state you are in. Not all insurance companies are in all states and in some states the choices are limited. And depending on the area is the insurance can be crazy expensive.

    I have had my CDL since the beginning of CDLs and I called maybe 25 insurance companies each one of them came back to Progressive. Every single solitary one..

    I'm fortunate that my rate is not too expensive, but I called One Insurance company and she told me she just signed a guy for $26,000 a year.

    That's insane.

    $10m is our public liability. Cargo coverage is $50,000 base with provisions for load specific riders for high value stuff.
