Thats pretty fast for a Primee! I thought 58 was the standard for the fuel bonus. Slow Ride! Take it easy! Channeling my Foghat vibe!!

While I've zero experience with Primes company trucks? I've heard they're governed?

Lease operators trucks? I've had them up to 70 mph. Although supposedly you'll get a Qualcomm message if you sustain that speed for any amount of time?

The story I heard is Prime did a study and found that 58 mpg is the"Sweet Spot" for optimal mpg. And indeed I've found that at least on the Freightliner Cassadas while driving at 58, 9.0 to 11 mpg are are the norm.

Although I have driven at 64 to 66 if dealing with a tight window?

I would say one of the most important things to do as a Prime student driver would to be to thoroughly interview the trainer. There ARE good ones and not so go ones. There ARE those that haven't any business training ANYONE for ANYTHING! They simply lack the temperament, background or experience.

I would inquire how many students they've trained? Exactly how they're going to train you on what? How often will you be allowed to back, under what circumstances, and how often?

That cussing, yelling, screaming isn't something that you'll tolerate.

In short do a through interview. Don't take the first one that comes along just because your anxious to "get out there"

Yes, I’ve heard some stories about those trainers, they take the student out for couple weeks or so, then take him back to the terminal few hours to teach him backing, since there’s no chance backing otr.
Well, I dunno how hard backings are lol but I’ve heard that’s not enough time.
    Will see.

All you speed demon quit if you lived and drove in Canada. Governed 65 max! Besides anything above 60 your blowing profit out the exhaust pipe. Fuel in today's world is the biggest expense in this business. Haters and trolls thats all I ever see on this forum. Do your research and do what's profitable for you and your family.
