Why do you consider them intimidating and, or dangerous? Unless a guy has a fear of heights, why is it anymore intimidating as driving the same pattern on a flat road, you are still required to stay in the road, no matter what kind of terrain you are in, and it can be dangerous to get a wheel off of a flat road too.
Maybe I think different, it just never made me any difference if I was on flat ground or up in the air, the same with guard rails, I never cared if they were there or not, you are not suppose to drive where the gaurd rails are anyway. lol
I like mountain driving and do not see the difference in being up on a tall overpass or bridge, than on switch backs in the mountains with a 4oo foot drop off on one side. lol

I would like to know the exact height of that interchange, I think 200 feet is a pretty big stretch any, I am thinking it just seems like it is that high. lol -
The flyover comes into view at about 1:22. Mind you, when the camera passes underneath it, it’s on a bridge so add an extra 14 to 15 feet.Bud A. Thanks this. -
I have been to laredo many times, but not in the last 11 years, I do not recall anything I thought was anywhere close to 200 ft high, but could be wrong, as I just consider it another road, especially if it has lines on it and guard rails. lol

That is what I meant, they probably built it since I have been there. It is just hard to imagine the state building a 200 ft high interchange, or anything else unless it is built over a canyon or gorge.
200 ft has the potential to have as many as ten roads crossing under it all in one spot. -
Just going by google, the high five in Dallas area is the tallest in the world and it is 117 feet in the air, which makes more sense.
I have not been on it either, but several of the tallest ones in the world are in the dallas area, so probably have been on some of the tallest ones, and never knew it. -

Tea, just Dallas /ft worth has 9 of them between 81 feet and the 117 foot high five one, the world is looking up. lol
