It might be awhile before that gets patched. The rock slide, many moons ago took about a year or so. If i remember correct, i was running western in those days

Being down to one lane for both east and westbound is pretty normal for the gorge ever so often. It'll probably take a year to fix that mess.

I-40 between Ridgecrest and Marion has a similar situation. Closed in both directions.

at the Tenn/NC line I-40 washed out about 10? yrs ago. looks like same spot.
