I-40 west bound lanes shut down in TN at the 335

    Cookeville Tennessee Highway Patrol said a three-vehicle accident is causing some traffic back-ups on Interstate 40 in Cumberland County.
    Authorities have closed both westbound lanes of I-40 at mile marker 335. Officials said eastbound traffic is also moving slowing due to distracted drivers.
    THP dispatchers said a car and two tractor trailers were involved in the accident that happened around 2 p.m. Saturday.
    Officials said they are diverting traffic to Highway 70. According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the accident should be cleared by 11 p.m. (CST) Saturday.
