I'd only run that when I was pulling 53' turnpike doubles with the tandems all the way to the rear. The key to make it through is a 315 inch wheelbase tractor.

I ran 74 east out of Cleveland once. Was legal, but luckily was a nice day, and pretty light! Pretty drive and stretches weren't to bad, but lots of sharp curves.

I stopped at the ocoee dam to kick my feet up a while.

64 from rosman to cashiers and 107 from glenville to tuckaseegee are the worst of it.. Mostly that the curves are too tight for sharing with oncoming traffic. It'd be safer at night so you know someone is coming. Theres a ton more traffic during summer days. Only thing that could be worse than tourists would be snow.

I live 20 minutes from the Dragon and I'm showing my age cause I still call it Deal's Gap. I've seen pics over the years of trucks trying to make it through. I don't go there at all any more, maybe once every couple years I'll have to drive through there going camping or something, in a car I mean. Even the bikers can't seem to get through there without losing it.

That might work having the tandems all the way back but I prefer to run it with a pair of spread axles for supreme turnability. Don't forget to make sure you have the lockers engaged too.
