I-55 closed in Illinois due pile up involving more than 50 vehicles

Here in southern Iowa this should all be. Cow country.. the cows are leaving the trees and fences are gone the grass is now corn .. this area will look like the Mojave Desert in 20 years theres only about 4 or 6" of top soil.here then its orange clay

Yep I've noticed that too , areas along 80 east of council bluffs where I used to deer hunt are getting barer by the day ...pheasants are seldom seen in that area anymore either .

Update: Death toll is now at 7. Investigators thought they were looking at the remains of one person when it actually turned out to be two! 37 people were injured. Total of 72 vehicles were involved.

They are still trying to identify 2 of the deceased. Alls they have is one vehicle is a Hyundai they don't know the color or the model its was burnt up bad.
The other is a blue chrysler 300.

 

Without a doubt,based on some of the photos of some of the wreckage they’ll definitely be researching dental and medical records for this pileup!

 

Nowadays usually the VIN is stamped a number of places throughout a vehicle, too...the car must have burned beyond recognition. Really sad.
