I was going to take 78 up to Harriman NY tomorrow but it sounds like the road will be closed until midnight tonight. Probably best to just stay on 81 to 84 and avoid the bad juju of the place.

Is that the same location as this current accident? -
Nope, that previous storm mostly affected the Lehigh Valley region near Allentown. This wreck occurred about 70 miles further west in Lebanon County.

The accidents/chain reaction/stalled traffic in 2007 happened at mm 40-50. The present pileup happened at approx mm25 as far as I can tell.
My point is there was a huge backlash because of the lack pf preparedness because of the storm in 2007, Gov Rendell supposedly got rid of the corrupt inept personnel responsible.
My guess is he didn't get rid of all of them.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
You vaguely resemble someone I know that didn't used to drive a plastic fantastic mobile......*shrugs*
Cranky Yankee and Straight Stacks Thank this. -
There have been numerous reports of where it happened....actual wreck started on Westside around the 7...and crossed over to eastside....and not that this #### can't happen anywhere..but this is the section in Lebanon county that was upgraded quite a few years ago....its regular interstate spec w/a wide shoulder and median.....if you know the area it is the beginning or end depending on how you look at it between I 81& the Flyin Hook..
tucker Thanks this. -
