No, tunnels are fine, some of the surface streets around there are restricted. Maybe your GPS had you on the wrong road. Mine loses GPS signal when in a tunnel. Yours may have shifted a few feet off.

Yes it's for the side roads. I just went through there last night. GPS takes a few blocks to catch up after the tunnel.

If the Lat/Long of that restriction is placed wrong in the map database you will get a message or if the Lat/Long is off some this will also cause warnings.

    Which GPS?

Nah, the only general restriction on the I-95 Baltimore tunnel is Hazmat. They probably don't allow over-sized permit loads either due to height and width limits.

Just take 695 around the Beltway. Saves the $24 toll anyway.

Harbor tunnel has 96" width restriction and no doubles and Ft McHenry only has Hazmat restriction.Better to just go around the West side and save Tolls

Better yet, take 301 and miss Baltimore.ore completely along with ¾ of the DC Beltway, and the tunnels, and the toll at the tidings bridge, and the tolls at the Delaware Line... Only one toll on 301.

    ncdriver1 and JPenn Thank this.
