An exit ramp might have been a bit extreme.
In this day and age someone somewhere will give you a chance.

no it's not.
more often than not, i'd get asked what i did for a job.
when i told them "truck driver", they'd walk away. like i was carrying the plague, and that was in my earlier years.
i learnt a long time ago after that and a few other times, to just say "traveling salesman of auto parts" since i was a former wrencher. -

i ran a garage decades ago, i'd hire a kid right out of trade school, and he'd had better learn real freaking quick how things are done, if not perfect, at least very well. sure screw up's happen, but so do lawsuits. no, we did not have nuclear lawsuits back then, but they could still cost a company lots of money. so i never wanted to get into one due to someone NOT doing the job right.
if anyone i hired did not meet my expectations within xx amount of time, he was GONE, no if's and's or but's........
i had to run my business to the bone, for reputation and return customers.
but training, and retraining, like you do..??
uh, no way Jose`, once since they are newbies, then make 1 correction, then that's about it.JoeyJunk Thanks this. -
