Gears, good thing you went shoppin, cuz Injun wasn't gonna let you drive till you got a CO detector....
.
IMO, a c/o detector goes hand in hand with a smoke detector,
whats your life worth? -
I had a fireman tell me once it was 14.95 the price of a smoke detector!
-
Yes, for the detector. I have the monitor, which has a digital readout of exposure level. Little more pricey. Either way, you will be alerted when your exposure level exceeds a safe number. That's the main idea.
Everett, Gears and The Challenger Thank this. -
a friend looking out for me found these web sites:
www.aircraftspruce.com/menus/ps/carbonmonoxidedetectors
www.co2meter.com/collections/portable
I like the one that is like a keyfob but it sounds AFTER 50ppm which as we all know now is too late damage done!
-
Great advice! You must have been a Firefighter in a former life
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
I drove from Chicago to Dallas with a blown out CAC coupler. Once I got to Dallas I was sick as a dog and got a really bad fever and passed out inside the truckstop. Woke up in the back of the ambulance on my way to the hospital. When I got back I figured out it was the leak and fixed it.
