Bro im 38 and i just got my CDL in May. Trust me ur on the younger end to get into this industry. I have seen some guys as old is 60 just getting their CDL. As long as you don’t have a DUI or any serious driving charges you will not have a problem getting a job trust me

1. 4-year college
2. 2-year college
3. Trade School
4. Entered the workforce
That is why HS guidance counselors push the "college for everyone" fallacy and sway kids away from the trades, working entry-level positions, or joining the Military (rated right down there with "entered the workforce")... it lowers their personal evaluation scores and affects their potential for pay raises or advances to the next higher position
This is also the reason the Megas are trying to get the 18-year old program off the ground. By the time a kid can go OTR, he could have entered a trade apprenticeship, attended trade school, or joined the military; all of which offer training and potential for high-paying positions by the time they are 21, making the trucking industry less appealing.Gearjammin' Penguin and Pamela1990 Thank this. -

At 36 you’re over the hill and through the woods. The only thing you’re good for anymore is a greeter at Walmart.
I started at 57spindrift, dwells40, Speed_Drums and 1 other person Thank this.
