Truck driving is a very stressful job, mostly because people driving cars/SUVs are trying to wreck right in front of you. They would rather be dead or injured than be behind a truck or 3 seconds late.
I am 36, is it too late?

Nevada, Texas, Florida are popular because of no state income tax.
I know Washington also has no state income tax, but does have harsh winters which can be depressing.pumpkinishere and Poor guy Thank this. -

world but trucking cannhelp with all of them . I hope you are comfortable being alone. Most truck drivers are introverted. If you need to be around people to have energy, this might not be for you. Being around people drains energy from me. I have to get away from people to "recharge".
Don't believe recriters at trucking companies. Find drivers workingvat various companies and have them describe their pay, working conditions, amiunt of time off, etc. Then apply for one of those companies. Some companies are terrible. Some companies are OK. Some companies are pretty great. Some good companies are not good for some drivers. Nothing is more important than finding a company that matches what you need. Its the first thing I would start investigating before I investigated school, paying for school, even type of trucking (van, reefer, flatbed, tanker). Lits of people can help you get that info, just ask.Poor guy Thanks this. -
