I suppose I am just a glutton for punishment, but I am back to answer any questions that you have on Western Express(if you are wondering why I am using a different user name, it is because I forgot the password I used for the previous account). Please keep in mind that it has been over two years since I have worked there as a recruiter, but I still have friends who work there. Feel free to hit me up with your questions.

BuffaloBill... I do not think Western Express would hire you. Students are pretty easy to come by and typically they don't hire people with that much of a background. Good luck in your search.

BostonTanker. I am not familiar with any $800 per week minimum. I doubt most of their drivers are even making that.

Is that number before, or after taxes? If it is before taxes, it's really not very much. I would hope someone driving a truck for a living could make more than that somewhere else.

    Veryblessed and BostonTanker Thank this.

Ya, that's their new sales pitch. That's only 80 more a week than I was making driving an IH 4400 single axle vaccum tank.

I have to ask my hubby if he was told about an $800 minimum pay. That's way better than the $53.69 he got for orientation(which is not paid for) & securement training!
