I was not trying to attack you , in my first post , I asked you a couple questions about "recruiters" & instead of answering them you put it back to me like I was trying to attack you ! All I wanted to know is why honesty seems so rare amongst recruiters ??
I am a former Western Express Recruiter for anyone who has questions

This thread is going no where with the exception of a few drivers who have been burned badly by WE, what is the point of all this?

Seems that me & 1 other person asked him some questions on how & why they do what they do & he has no answers ! A recruiter is a recruiter I don't care what company or "Board" he is talking on . Why is he afraid or blocking answering questions ? That's all I want to know , I was not attacking him , just trying to get some "truth" !!!
blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
I suppose this is a fair question and I'm happy to answer it. I can't really speak for recruiters with any company except Western Express, but what I can say is that I believe recruiters are intentionally kept in the dark about what REALLY happens once the drivers get out into their trucks. Eventually, people start to figure this out, because as you can imagine, drivers start to ask where all of their money is and why they are not getting the miles that they were expecting to. There was a time that I was told, as a recruiter, that drivers at Western Express could easily make $1200 per week. I started telling this to drivers because I believed it to be true, but then I learned that it was realistically more like $400-$500 per week. It's just very shady.Veryblessed, Call_me_Tom, freightwipper and 5 others Thank this.

Thank you , I am sure that your job was NOT easy . Trying to hire drivers under false information / not by your fault ! Some of us drivers just wanted to figure out why & you came here saying you would help . You have only been here a couple hours or days , this is a somewhat brutal site at times . But after years of being in the business it's just hard to know when the truth is being spoken .Veryblessed and blairandgretchen Thank this.

its very simple i think, a bunch of managers decided to start a "refresher training course for used to be drivers" and rather than have a tuition reibursement program or pay for school program they just figured that Hey we can get these guys that cant afford to go back through school to drive for us for .15 cpm and that will be the trade off for getting them back in the saddle. maybe not a bad plan but somewhere in that business plan greed or desperation set in and all kinds of "you'll never drive again" cdl holders got into the mix.. they tear up their trucks like they probably did in the last company they worked for and hence the reason they have to go to companys like WE. the waterfall affect causes the company name and reputation to fall after that and after awhile it becomes normal. If a driver is willing to give their soul for 15 cpm to get back into driving then thats their own deal and shouldnt b%&tch about it. get what you need and move on.
