Harley, I feel bad for you. You been working with this pile of Pelosi for quite a long time. I truely wish that I could help. I know the new ports up there in Jax are needing alot of drivers... but I don't know any of the companies there that might be hiring.

Have you thought of maybe looking for an Independant and talking to him about hiring you.... as a team ...you could maybe get trained under his business name and may be beneficial to both, you as cheep labor, him as training. IDK if it is even possible but it may be, and may be an option.

This is what I would do. This is me and you understand I am NOT an expert.
First, I would sure find out whats on that report. As fast as you can, so you are aware of.
Second, stay in touch with that recruiter made him/her your newest best friend if thats where you want to go to work.
Third, I know you are starvin' to death just like a lot of us on here, but you have to stay cool. Don't become emotional (easy for me to say) Deal in fact.
Fourth, ask someone else about the DAC, etc. You may get a better idea.

if it were me since i am female, i would cry then go about my business...:biggrin_25525:

Being the newbie that I am, I have no idea how to go about doing that? Basically if its not a job posted online how does one go about finding a situation like that?

    First.... go here.

    http://www.usis.com/Consumers/default.aspx

there you can order your DAC. if you were turned down " due in part to your DAC" you can order it at their cost, otherwise, you can order one for self one time per year.

Print it out, it's 5 pages, send it in, and in 2 weeks I think, they send you your complete report.

    Baack and luvtheroad Thank this.

I'll tell you what. Call a couple of your local smaller truck dealers. They know EVERYTHING that is going on, who's buying trucks, who needs drivers etc. I am shocked at how well I got set up just by getting him to take me under his wing. All of these are really small operations and all do everything by word of mouth and asking around.

It is very clear on the website how to go about ordering your report, and when and why and costs ( if any) to you.

    luvtheroad Thanks this.
