Best of luck Tran Man... Just think the economy will be hoppin', fuel will be a little less expensive, drivers' wages will be better, trucks will be better and you'll be ready for the open road! Yes, I have a vivid imagination LOL

Do you have your CDL yet? I see you're from Ohio if you don't, have you thought about where you're going to school? Curious about various schools and listen to what people say about them.

I just thought I would put my two cents in... I have been watching this thread for some time know. I myself started driving 12-2-98. I jumped out of the truck about a year ago to take a break from dispatchers and low miles. I am not sure if this one company is hiring that I worked for but they seem to have had a few that had issues with there DAC there. The companies name is Schilli Specialized they are based in Remington In they do different things some being cars, crane/van, dry van. There is one I worked for in Tampa Fl called Walpole Inc. they pull hoppers, pneumatic, ect no vans. You can try RTI- Riverside Transport. Covenant worked with my uncle who had a dui, and other problems good chance there. They will take there time getting you in due to checking with insurance company and safety department approval. Its not impossible but will not be easy looking for a cdl job. There are propane companies class b I think?, what about the roll off dumster jobs, maybe the porta potties, PODS, , moving companies-they always need help, dock work at Publix, CTI, or shredding companies...for that matter have a pick up truck??
I am sure I can name a few more just give me a few minutes to come up with them...:biggrin_25520: Don't give up on something you beleive in just cause a few others have!

Are you talking about Riverside Transport in Parkville (KC) Mo? I was by their place a few weeks ago and it looks deserted. Or maybe they got so big they moved into a new location. They have a partner co in Indiana.

You know...That may have once been in Parkville... They have Blue trucks. Freight shakers and Volvo's not the best trucks but I stayed busy. I left cause I had personal issues in my life nothing really with them other than the trucks could have been better. They got me home and I got about 3200 miles avg as a solo driver. I did all there little favors to get the miles. I would run team loads sometimes faster than the teams...lol Anyway you work with them they will work with you! Like I said b4 the trucks could be better due to the wonderful mechanics they have but still better than no job! I am sure freight has slowed down since I was there so you may wanna open a thread and see if anyone replies.
