I am about to give up!

Been reading your thread and its very interesting. Been driving a straight truck for the last year and bought into the whole trucking school line about getting my class a. I am a journey carpenter and have many year exp as a super. I Know the building trade will be the last to come back. Anyhow got my lic at the end of may and i havnt had to deal with so much rejection since jr high-school and started trying to chase girls. I am not ready to give up yet but i havnt been at it as long as you

 

I am wondering one thing. Some of these companies might change their tune if you sign on as a team. Just an idea. I don't think KLLM turns ANYONE down because they need teams so bad.

 

Housing/construction wont be the last to come back. No recovery has ever happened without being led by housing. I know (from personal experience) that is of very little comfort to a guy who cant support his family today. But if you can swing a hammer you will be back to work before a guy who does risk assessment at a muni-fund management firm.

I was 100% financially committed to a manufactured housing transport company and was devastated in 2008. I bought a reefer, did heavy haul, hauled fuel, did whatever I had to do to get through. I have paid very close attention to housing numbers for the last 5 years, trust me dont sell your hammer, a huge bubble is about to build.
