My first week with my training engineer has passed and I am home for the weekend. I must return Monday to finish 1 more week with the T.E. before getting my first truck. I tell you I am tired! every muscle in my OLD body is hurting!. My trainer has been a great asset to my learning this career I am amazed at his patience working with me. I still need to learn the paperwork and other company things but its coming along better then I expected. (MY SHIFTING SUCKS!) I will let ya all know if I make the grade at Schneider after I test with them in a week or so. My trainer has been wonderful! He gives me 100% of his attention and is always in the 2nd seat when I am driving. He is always quick giving me improvement advice I am trying hard to remember everything but its so much info!.

Broken Spoke, I'm just starting 19 weeks of training at Diesel Driving Academy in Baton Rouge, LA and I've found this post to be very informative. It's excellent insight for the newbie's in the industry, from start to finish. I can't thank you enough for taking the time and posting your experiences through school and then onto your orientation at Schneider. You've done myself and others like me a huge favor.
