You write well. Better than me.

If it was my outfit that trainer would have been gone.

i dont think the guy that was ridding with me is a trainer in the sense werner has trainers, it was just someone that was assigned to ride with me and show me "the ropes". the same jerk says monday we are doing tonnage and we have to haul A@@. guess what i am going to run the same as i always do and if it doesnt keep up i will tell the owner clearly this job is not for me. i will do nothing dangerous or stupid.

i dont like having speedy in my truck. he said this job is different then most trucking jobs. i say whatever. i will not sacrifice safety.

i had not said anything to the owner because right or wrong it still makes you a rat, then you have to live with that reputation and deal with said jerk.

Stop listening to your trainer. I already have about my fill of him. His pep talks about hualing tonnage is nothing new, we are not children here. Savvy>

HORSE CRAP! How is it different? It's all the same. The idea is that you get your loads there safely. And legally.
The idea is that you keep your truck maintained, or see to it that the maintenance gets done.
    It's that simple.
That doesn't mean that the job is simple, just the basics.

Ok it don't make you a rat reporting an unsafe driver....cause by reporting him could be actually be keeping him from running over someone's family in a wreck...

I got to tell you this and make it clear. If I have a truck leased with a company and my driver is training someone (which has happened a few times) and you as the trainee does not feel right by what he tells you to do, you better call my manager or me about it, we want to know exactly what's going on and if he is not a driver for us.

I speak for a lot of fleet owners who don't tolerate crap like telling others how to drive. YOU are in command of that truck, you make the decisions and as long as you are safe, if my driver or the dispatcher or agent don't like it, I will tell them for you TOO BAD.
