They truly did you a favor. Now just find someone with common sense who knows the games they play and you'll be fine.

I just came here to update my thread, I am not fired this company is so out of control that I fell through the cracks they didn't even know i am home (5 1/2 hours away).
Me and the training coordinator had some might words with each other on wether it was ethical or not for me to go home even just short of calling one another names but it looks like they want me there monday morning at 7:00 am. They did not fire me. I did look for another job and found a couple leads but as I think about it none of the offers seemed much better than what England has plus I am already through orientation.
I am just going to suck it up and do my 6 months with them and get my experience back but I wish to thank all the hands that contributed to this thread in an effort to help meGermangirl and hrtbr8kr Thank this. -
Hey, just logged on after a while. I figured from the first posting that you weren't really as fired as you thought. I've been let go once because I got caught up in family stuff and extended home time w/o notifying my DM. After 3 days of no contact they assume that you quit. When i got back to the truck and checked in for a load, I found out. After explaining what happened, my DM reinstated me and I just had to take a new drug test. What happened to you happens semi-frequently to students and they just reinstate you. Hope you get a trainer as good as the one I had.

Kevin good luck to you! Last year during my training @ USX my trainer had to go home for a few days so my training got interrupted, and i was sent home by Greyhound then it was kinda like --Out of Sight, Out of Mind -- it seemed i was out of the system and the people who should HELP, only put pressure on me as if i had abandoned a truck or whatever, whereas i WANTED to finish my training... i think it's the anonymous system in large companies that make it difficult for Newbies.
Keep us posted what's going on with you, and merry Christmas! -
My point is if it's been six years back in the 90's that's the same as no experience now so he may have a hard time getting hired
Kevin83165 Thanks this. -
