Phase 2 at England is now not required at all if you are gonna lease a truck...you go straight from Phase 1 to your own truck(Scary) Yes I do work for England..I have read a lot of complaints..Some are legit and a lot are student created...I happen to be a very lucky one and am making it...I never sit around...my DM has my next load already sent to me before I am finished with my present load(that really helps)...Kevin if you decide to go company you will go through Phase2...only you can decide what you want to do...Yes I did a lease but only had 12 months left on this lease..Kevin if you need any help just let me know..Kevin83165 Thanks this. -

As a total newb who's never shut the left door on a big rig, I'd like to thank you for being honest about your experience with CRE. I start school in 2 weeks, after I get my CDL-A I will drive garbage truck or shortbus before I drive for CRE!!
hrtbr8kr and sweetdaddy915 Thank this. -

Saw the op and I've got to say my situation is almost identical. To everyone suggesting the op go to another company like prime or whatnot, let me tell you its absolutely impossible in his situation. I signed a very similar in terms contract with crst for low and no cost schooling. After going through their ######## for a few short months I split and came home to find local work. No trucking company, bus company, tow or taxi company would touch me. Even a local limo company that wanted to hire me badly and offered to send me to get my pasenger endorsement had to pass on offering me employment. I guess the reason is because in your contract they say they will refuse to send your records required for any dot regulated position until you either fulfill your contract or buy it out. In my case it would cost above 4 gs to buy out, which for most people who end up in this situation is an impossible amount to just fork over. So now I'm stuck. Either flip burgers for mickey ds or go back to crst. Maybae. Cuz I'm finding they don't even have to re hire you and that may not even be an option anymore. I'd encourage anyone who's desperate and looking at these low cost school to hire contracts right now to take a step back and really consider your decision. Exhaust you local markets first. Pound the pavement. Many local professional driving jobs pay better and demand less than otr trucking. Once you sign with a crst a cr or a swift you belong to them for the duration. And by the time you realize you would have been better off financially driving a cab share with some turban guy back home, it will have been too late.

OK, I am the OP and now I am out on the road it isn't so bad. CRE just gives us our load info and we just go, my pay was there like they said it would be. My phase 1 trainer is an owner operator so the equipment is his a Freightliner Century so I can't judge the company by the equipment, it belongs to him.
I realized that coming out of driver training and onto the road is like going from boot camp to the real military, you can't judge CRE by the school. I really do not want my post to sway others the decision to go with CRE,
in all honesty now I am on the road the company has very little to do with anything. We just drive and the road looks the same and the trucks all look the same no matter where we goStevejun1986 Thanks this.
