Felonies ok lots of places...find place that only goes back 3 years...then move up to a place that only goes back 5 or 7...soon you'll be eligable for a 10 year, and that cover most...However i ran into a couple that does lifetime checks and a couple that flat out says "no felonies ever"...which is all just fine in my book

The jobs are out there!! Clean time carries alot of weight, opportunities will open up further the longer you go...Ive been a good boy many many years now, last felony in 1994...And I can go almost anywhere..Big places may have to explain things to safety dept, I have...got nasty about it cause it was so long ago, didnt help, they needed to hear I was far from my days of crime, and document it...

I passed TSA and TWIC check...Have not tried Canada, my research says Canada will always be a no no for me..I wonder
I met lots of folk full and willing to not sweat my background...One out of 25 will be the "you dirty criminal" type who wants you to pay for your crimes with sanctions for life...They're there, they're here..Being a x con leaves a bad taste in peoples mouths !! Of course, but we still gotta eat, so we press on
Trucking has been felony friendly in my experience..

When i did the oilfield trip, I posted an ad in NorthDakota's craigslist, "felon with bad record needs job"...I got 5 bosses calling me day one....I actually picked one that first day and was off to ND instantly..The ones that called were Iron Horse Trucking, Bear Mountain, PowerFuels and a couple owner/op's

    ANyways...
I probably wouldnt hire a felon!! (LOL)....F that, you stole a bunch of crap now you want me to give you 40 thousand pounds of new polaris atv's valued at 800k? nope...not if you stole to buy or do drugs...That would be the deal sealer for me..Id want to keep out coke-heads, current or former
We all have our preferences dont we!! lol

The companies that would be willing to work with you won't come anywhere near enough to justify the risk and stress of driving OTR pay wise. I had a pretty good record and had my choice of any company and can't say the pay was there for someone with a good record, at least with dry van and reefer work.

Carolina Cargo drivers make a little over $800.00 weekly. This has been verified by their drivers that post on here. That's pretty good money if you're currently unemployed or under employed.

I absolutely agree with this statement. As a person who recently had my house burglarized, I don't understand how people will help out a convicted felon just because he claims to have changed his life around. You got what you deserve and karma is a b##ch. What have you done as retribution for your actions. Did you apologize to the people you stole from? Did you replace or give money back to the people you stole from? Action speeks louder than words. I just sold my house because my family just didn't feel safe in our house anymore all because of people like you, who chose to do what they did. Yeah everyone deserves a second chance, but don't expect the victims of felony crimes to be so understanding as to help you out.

You people are hilarious!!! The person who burglarized your home could have apologized, begged for your forgiveness, and replaced everything tenfold... And that wouldn't change how you feel. So what difference does it make?? Him doing time is action enough lol. Not to mention probation. But I guess it's people like you that agree with companies giving people that have been found guilty of drinking and driving a second chance faster than a felony lol. If it's one person on this forum that's NEVER in his/her life committed a crime(arrested for or not) then they sure as hell don't need to be a truck driver. I mean... Come on people, we're taking about truck drivers here. Just because it pays well(in some cases), doesn't change the fact that it's a BLUE COLLAR INDUSTRY. How much more blue collar does it get? You're probably employed by criminals or haul freight for some of the biggest ones in this$700 billion industry. Get money... Shut up... And get more money lol.

What's so funny about being a victim of a felony. You think it's funny that I got robbed, or that it's funny because you can relate to this person. How would you feel if you were one of the people that he robbed, and lord forbid, your wife, son, daughter, mother, father were awake at the time that he came into your house? You think any of your family members would of been been OK? He wasn't 12 years old when he comitted these crimes, not knowing right from wrong, he was an adult, and he made a conscious decision to do what he did. Do you think that he's genuinely sorry for what he did, or that he's sorry because he got caught and his life turned out the way it is because of the consequences of his action. Yeah we all did stupid things when we were young, and yes trucking is a blue color job, but there is a big difference from commiting a victimless crime like smoking weed, to commiting a felony such as armed robbery, murder and burglary, and to say that just because we work in a blue collar industry, where we have this image of being tough, hard working, beer guzzling people, doesn't mean that we can't be civilized as well. Also, If your your so sympathetic to this person, why don't you give him your name, number and address to him and see what happens.

Ok uh... Juan is it. Nothing's funny about being a victim, I've been victim to a couple of close calls. If the person who committed a crime was arrested and prosecuted, then who are we to judge them AFTER the fact. People who are victims to a crime always want harsher punishments on the criminal... It's natural... Until its you, your daughter, son, niece, nephew, brother or sister who's finally gotten caught for felonies that they probably commit on a regular basis. Then you here about how much of a stand up person they are and this and that... Who gives a f***?? They are an adult who knew right from wrong, unlike the 12 year old(by the way, if by 12 years of age they don't know right from wrong, the parent should get punished for the Childs actions). There's no such thing as a victimless crime. If you're doing a "victimless" crime such as doing drugs and you go to jail for it with a family at home... Who's the victim?? And the image of being tough and hard working(I'll give you the beer guzzling part) is just that...an IMAGE!! What makes driving a truck so tough and what hard work is involved? If its so much hard work involved, why's the obesity level so high? I think you're confusing hard work with long hours. This is more of a mental job then anything. And honestly, how many civilized truckers do you see at the truck stop?? And as far as to seeing what happens if I was to give him my address etc. You probably willingly let more criminals in your home than you think, whether close friends or family. So keep watch lol. Have a good hard working, tough and civilized day driver.
