Sounds like your case is like a big ok can o worms.

probably best to choke it down and go with a company's refresher course.

OK here are a couple - Waste Management, Rizzo Services. Both are national companies and both are in NY.

See I don't know where you live, what your goals are or anything else. There are enough out there just in the "phone book" (internet) that you can contact outside the "game" and get a job but it is up to you to do the leg work. You can also look at other sources like the US DOT registry and FMCSA sources.

FINALLY!!!! I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have a date set for orientation with FFE. Spoke to the recruiter and she told me that after the refresher course at ft worth, Texas and the 6 weeks training I would go to their Burlington, NJ terminal. That they need LTL regional drivers. I don't have the slightest idea what that is, but if it puts reasonable money in my pockets I'll gladly do the job. Now, I have to give Pmracing the BIG THANK YOU :biggrin_25514: because he send me all the info on KLLM/FFE.
    1. If their is anyone that could give me updated info on this company and especially that Burlington terminal, I'll appreciate it very much.
    2. Any info on that refresher course?
    3. Info on what LTL really is?
    4. From where to where would I run?
    5. What should I ask a trainer and what to expect from that trainer?
Once again thank you all very much. Out of all the forums I've been in, this is the only one that has HELPED ME the most. Thank you.

Ohhhh, before I forget I really don't care much about hearing how bad the company is, as far as I'm concern KLLM/FFE is the only company that is giving me an opportunity to feed my family and I'm going to make sure that they don't regret giving me that opportunity.

    Yep....if you only made 3 rounds a month that's ...let's see....1 round = 5,000 ( on the low end) 3 x 5,000 = 15,000.....15,000 x .15 = 2,250 a month if you run a 4th round add $750 , so a potential of 3,000 a month..

I am surprised Schneider said 6 months exp. because my daughter was told they would reimburse her for schooling and she has no experience she is 21.

i am wondering what the felony is for and if it's an issue of border crossing into Canada

I think that the companies that told me no were companies that require either a TWIC card or HAZMAT endorsement. In my case I need a minimum of 7 yrs from the time I finished probation to qualify. I haven't reached my 7 yrs yet.

People are to blind on base pay. I was hired as a team at .15 a mile and paying insurance and 401k still taking home over $1k a week with bonuses.... Not to mention I'm always averaging 6k miles a week or 22k a month with my time off.
