I thought pabst was a Miller product? Just because Annhesier does something that way doesn't mean they all do. Just because his load shifted doesn't mean it was his fault. Maybe he had no choice and had to hit the brakes to keep from running the four wheeler over that just cut him off and slammed on the brakes to take the next exit. Would you rather have him run the four wheeler over and tell the HP when they got there that he didn't want to spill his beer?

There is up to 10k for retraining a displaced worker. No links I can find though although I collected that money a few times in the auto industry. If you actually care to learn I am sure the info is available to you someplace but you may have to look. If you just want to deny it, you are already there.

The line "Last two years and write your own ticket" is classic recruiter rhetoric ...

The same nonsense is also commonly used in MLM and direct marketing schemes.

Spend enough time at anything and you'll progress, if the economy and circumstances permit - I just feel for those reaching "two years" in this economy.

I stand corrected. Under NO circumstances should anyone EVER attempt to succeed. By all means, once you are stuck with a bad, low paying job, never try to improve yourself.

This is classical bottom feeder company rhetoric.

This same nonsense is also commonly used by low achievers to keep from succeeding.

You just keep on believing that and I'll keep taking the good jobs that you talked yourself and others out of!

Ancient Chinee Proverb say: "You can't climb a ladder if you are too scared to let go."

Say ... did you ever work for Amway? your rhetoric sounds familiar ...

Yep ... you keep working at your job ... it's all yours ...

Since I don't have a job, and own my own business ... the only way to make real money in this country BTW.

    If you say so ...

If you park in a community with anti-idling laws somebody will tell you not to run the truck .

The ticket you write will depend on much more than lasting two years. It will vary by your driving record over those two years, where you live, your overall attitude and willingness to start at the bottom of another company ladder. I have lasted the two years, and have yet to write that ticket to the dream job. I have no tickets, no accidents, no lates, no anything but just getting where I need to be.

I do look daily to "write my own ticket" but I have yet to find a ticket to write that is better than the one I write every day now. Yes I can find another job if I want one, the problem is that I cannot find one that will get me home as much and make as much as I do now. I do not consider the job I have now as the ticket I would write if I could write my own either. I will however continue to look for better jobs and I hope that someday I find one.
