My statement stands on it's own. Making things better is right. Accepting the status quo is "wrong headed thinking", of course someone like you can't be told that because you know everthing.

Your exceedingly long attempt to butcher what I have written is, bla, bla bla. Is guess it should be expected from you.

You want things to stay the same. I say make it better.

I have to leave now but I am more than willing to get back to you and yooooour long long long line....... , when I get back. Hehehehehe :biggrin_25526:

Now lets see if we can get back to this stupid "pig **** " disguised as dialog.

You chose to attack my creditability by bring attention to the wannabe status. (You stance is rude and has been so in you why for the start of this). I guess people shouldn't put info up there. Maybe every body should just put in there, Trucker 1 year or what ever. You have chosen to take on the same stance as that Prime clown who got mad at me for eating into his profits and recruitment, by stating what I believe Prime does as it pertains to their training, and that was that, they use trainee's as team drivers. He too choose to try and attack me by referring to me as a wannbe for "pulling his covers." You supported him to a certian extent. Then recently you chose to casigate companies that use trainee's as "team driver's". You recall don't you. You said something to the effect that you would saty away from companies that use trainee's as team drivers. I gotta as if you really know or you just write, write, write. "You know what I mean".

What is my point? My point is simple. DON'T EXCEPT YOUR STAUS QUO OR THE STAUS QUO BALONEY OF THE INDUSTRY, just because people like you do. Work to make things better.

The question is what are you trying to say, "and y'all can't make a dollar out of 99 cents", what the heck. Your really not saying nothing as usual.

Ya know I stopped reading your stuff along time ago. I guess I only read your post because it was a direct comment to me. In the future I don't believe I will read them either.

Talk'n to you is pointless. You just keep on mumbeling along. LOLOLOLOLLOLOL

    YuP!
    Whadda ya 'spect?
    Remember, ...... I'm a baaadd man -------> :naka:
But I stop shy of attempting to "butcher".
    I don't "attempt" :biggrin_25512: --- I accomplish. :yes2557:
    And I specialize in ground-round. :biggrin_25523:

    Not so!
What I'm sayin' is, when I'm satisfied and happy doin' what I do, the way I like doin' it, I don't want someone ELSE tellin' me I need to change to whatever THEIR idea of "better" is.
    Go for it!
    HeY!
    I know!
WhY not shut the Big trucks down and paralyze the nation?
    That oughta get their attention.
And/Or we could all write letters to our elected officials,
who regularly ignore us after they're elected.

I'd stock up on those forever stamps though.
And, as an added bonus, we'd be supporting the U.S. Postal Service.
    But wait!
With Big trucks not running, how will the mail get through?
Just think --- bad weather doesn't stop the mail, but Big truck truck drivers CAN.
OHHhhhh ....... can y'all just FEEL the POWER?

    Have a nice trip.
I'll leave the light on for you.

Interesting that you have been at Werner for 3 years, but according to your profile, you have only been a driver for 2, which tells me that the only reason that you are at Werner is you are trying to get them to pay off your driving school bill, since you are probally under contract to them to do so. So whether you are screwed or not, you cant quit. Big difference in not being screwed and not being able to leave.
Being up under the desk everytime you get to your domescile terminal and of course you wont be screwed, but most of us refuse to kiss butt or do other things such as yourself, in order to keep a job.

You don't sign a contract with Werner regarding student loans. You stay, they give a hundred bucks a month, you leave, they give nothing. A Werner employee can leave at any time.

How you profiled him as an ### kisser from his one line response is amazing. You find someone that has a comment other than a negative and you jump his crap. While there might be a number of those who have nothing but negative to say, there are others who are the contrary.

As for me, they (Werner) were screwing me hard and I was close to leaving, but in the end believe it or not, in the end they made it right... Very right as far as I can say thus far. For the record, I was a squeeky wheel with an axle seal leak and not an ### kisser.

If it not broke don't fix it. the current system works fine.

I rather be on the road than sitting at home making no money. I have goals, and I can not meet those goals sitting at the house. Already the industry is giving in to the weaklings and going to regional runs more than the long hauls and making it harder. I rather run 4200 miles long hauls and fell rested than run 2500 miles short haul and feel burned out. For I use to run from Atlanta to NJ twice a weeks and home on weekends, Home to sleep cause I was worn out from the 2500 miles I did. Made one run from Athens Ga, to Bismark ND, then over to Erie PA then back to Athens. When all said and done, 4200 miles, and I was ready to go again.

Plus the Short hauls are killers. It eats at you much faster. 4 years of wanting long hauls, moving Company to Company in search, but only being ran short hauls, I got so sick and worn out, I had to come off the road for a long period. I am not an over night express type of Driver. Unload and reload by day and run to deliver then next morning. Bull Hockey....

Greed is killing us. See what it done on Wall Street and now that greed going to cost us all. Greed in the trucking industry is costing us to. Wanting your cake and eat it too.

why do I like driving truck? Going to different places, seeing different sights, and no in the same place all the time. Why do I hate working a 9-5 job? Cause nothing for me here at home, and the walls are closing in on me here. Do I want to come home for 2 days a week? H*!! No.

Want to be home more? Get a local job, want to be paid by the hour? Get a non driving job or a specialty run type of job. But Do not screw me cause you do not like it. Sounds like the ACLU is around..... Screw the majority for the minority.

Actually here in Indianapolis, (and he being from Bloomington probally took this deal), Werner has contracted with TDI to hire their new drivers. It works by you signing up at TDI and going through their school, and then you sign a contract with Werner for at least 2 years in order for them to pay it off. Now when I went to TDI, they didnt do the contract thing with anyone--but a few years ago they cut a deal with Werner on this, and essentially the deal operates a lot like Swift or Schneider's inhouse schools. BTW, if you think that you are gonna pay your school off with $100 a month, then have fun paying it off. If a company offers to pay your school, then they should pay it, not just make it look like they are.
Anyhow If you leave anytime during the life of the contract, you are put down as a termination and not subject to rehire. So I once again say, that in order for them not to screw you, you have to kiss their butts over there. We are talking Werner, you understand this right?

I get what you are saying completely and that is a sad state of affairs. I was unaware of the TDI situation, my bad. IMHO that sounds worse than joining the military for 4 years and not being able to quit.

As for my school loan, I pay 172 a month and they pay 100. My loan will be paid off in a year and then the $100 checks will come to me.

I still contend that calling the guy an ### kisser is a bit knee-jerk though...

I'm sure they didn't come the name "Big Blue Screw Crew" by accident.

You are right, wasnt my intention to do so. But a lot of these companies you have to do so even if you dont realize you are, or you wont be around long. I have noticed that guys that say that I have been on the job for so long, and I am not getting screwed because I dont let them, and blah, blah, on and on about how great it is really are getting screwed, they just dont realize it. I know guys that are die-hard company butt-kissers, but they sware up and down that they dont have a clue what you're talking about when you confront them on it.
