Just bring a camera next time you’re in dispatch , and set it up facing your dispatcher.
if I had a driver facing camera I’d spend more time picking my nose and flicking boogers at the camera lens than driving .
oh and giving the finger to the camera .
I am tired of of my company having more rules having more rules than the DOT. E. Thinking of buying

Read the "Backorder on Parts" thread and see just how rosey it is when you're down for 2 months waiting on a water pump.
'88K100, gentleroger and dwells40 Thank this. -
....And your thread title/reason for thinking about this is why every owner operator goes out on his/her own.
If you have the money to start you won't regret the change.dwells40 Thanks this. -
Swift doesn't have inward facing cameras but yeah o/o requires a lot of upfront money Company driving is way easier in soo many ways.

I totally understand your reasoning behind your intentions. It's was a huge factor for me when I started too but don't jump right in yet. Get your plan in motion, do tons of research here and move to a better company in the meantime to get away from BS driver facing cameras.

What are you going to do once on your own with your own truck and the insurance company starts making you following all sorts of rules and put a driver facing camera in?
It’s coming.buddyd157 and God prefers Diesels Thank this. -
@Tug Toy "Yes. I have tarps, and dispatch isn't afraid to use them." That cracked me up more than it should have.

Actually I don't recommend it right now. I wouldn't put up with driver facing cameras either. Bounce to a new job and start saving money.... lots of it. Truck prices are sky high wait until it comes back down to reasonable levels. Again... You're going to need a lot of money to get started and be able to make it. You need a MINIMUM of $10k for a maintenance account. And that's after you make a big down payment on the truck , buy insurance and license plate , pay your 2290, plus have fuel money. And don't forget to hold out for taxes. I've seen people get into trouble at the end of the year when uncle Sam wants $15k from you and you can't pay it.
