I went through drivers solutions, even after reading all the bad posts. I figure get through a year at USA truck, get some experience, keep my nose clean. All goes well the first few weeks on my own, get good miles, Trucks beat up but runs good comfortable and has built in inverter so I use fridge and microwave.
They have a macro to send for home time request. I am not sure why, it is ignored. Spent 6 weeks out. When I ask about home I get "I am trying, there is just nothing going that way" one load he gave me went by the terminal by my house. I told him I was going to drop the load at the terminal. He told me no I needed to take it on through. I told him he had no choice but to relay it. He eventually caved. When I get to the terminal, there are five drivers who haven't had a load all day. I am so glad they had so much trouble finding someone to take that load on in.
Yesterday I get up start the tractor up, no air pressure. Get roadside on the phone 4 in the morning they send out a tire shop. they cant do anything about it compressor was out. 3pm I get a call tow truck on it's way to take me to repair shop. I ask about hotel they tell me no need Repair shop is open till midnight will have me going by then. 4pm get a call from roadside says he needs a truck towed, I kindly inform him I am the truck that needs towed . 5pm tow truck arrives. 6pm shop hours 8 to 5 someone lets us in drop truck in repair bay tow truck leaves. I call dispatch to find out where I can stay. He grumbles "just find some place that will take a com check". The poor shop manager who feels bad for me and was kind enough to stay and help me out and give me a ride to the hotel finely gets me to a place to stay. If it was up to usa I would have found a park bench and some newspapers.

If you are ever broke down in Evansville Indiana please call Dyna-mechs first 812-425-9009 what a nice guy.

Sounds like your typical company. God forbid they have to press extra keys on the computer to terminate a load and put it on someone else. It's alot easier to make you keep the load.

Since when does a number sleep? Issue a comcheck? God this guy is working me to death. I have to push 100 extra keys. Just 5 more minutes and I can go home.

You'd think the money comes out of the dispatchers pocket the way they act. This is your typical dispatcher that has no idea what it's like on the road.

Keep your head up and serve your rookie time. There are greener pastures down the road. Not all companies are like this.

It'll get better for you. Just bide your time for 2 to 3 years. Stay accident and ticket free, and you should be able to get a good job.

Keep the rubber side down, shiny side up.. :biggrin_25522:
