Because companies like their employees young, where they don’t have to worry about shelling out as much money for healthcare/medical insurance or other related expenses!

Some companies do practice age discrimination against older applicants/employees,even though it’s illegal.

We're definitely living in a dystopian movie if employers are using age discrimination against 33 year olds.

Yeah I understand. You realize we've been hearing for about 10-15 years now how self driving trucks are going to eliminate all driving jobs very soon. None of the companies wasting money on it are even close. Several have gone out of business. I don't think most people realize just how complex a task it is to make such a machine. All the thought process that go into the thousands of decisions your mind makes while driving in a dynamic world. The highways aren't a perfect little computer simulation. It'll be amusing to revisit some of these threads 10 years from now when the technology has advanced as much as it has it the past 10 years. Which is practically nowhere lol

It’s happened to my brother, albeit at the time he was in his 40s..
He was filling out job applications left and right, and for every job there were candidates in their late 20s to late 30s..
Like I said, they like em young!!
