The trucking industry is taking a huge hit with rates, High fuel, there are more drivers available than jobs, there is no such thing as a driver's shortage, but there is definitely is a hiring company shortage, I live in Missouri and nobody is hiring from this state, Craigslist and indeed is flooded by Chicago companies.
I believe we are 100% into a recession

I don't think we're in a recession.
There's plenty of labor shortage. Including truckers. And plenty of signs looking for truckers.
Inventory still lacks. Even though the ports have caught up. Companies still can't get their materials needed to build things.
My state still has the lowest unemployment on record.
Housing has slowed. But that's all that's slowed.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -

Group One Inc, in north KC.
Christenson Transportation, in Strafford.
Dot Foods, in KC and Strafford.
I’m sure, the freight companies and fuel haulers are hiring, too. -

Frito lay around those parts is hiring van drivers that make 60K a year. I spoke to a warehouse manager couple of weeks back.
